Clinical Services

When Launch Pad Wellness was founded, we had a vision to create an environment where individuals could find the help they need to successfully recover from their addiction and launch out on their new path in life.  We understand that, while addiction has similar roots, each person has their own unique medical and clinical needs. That’s exactly why Launch Pad Wellness offers an array of clinical services to individuals seeking treatment.  At Launch Pad Wellness, we are committed to providing comprehensive recovery programs tailored to meet the needs of each client.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment

An Intensive Outpatient Program, also known as IOP, allows clients to attend group therapy to learn long term recovery skills, meet individually with a clinical therapist to work through underlying issues, and to see our psychiatrist as part of their treatment. All while they continue to work a regular job, attend support meetings such as AA, NA Celebrate recovery etc., and eventually, become reacquainted with their friends and family.  Individuals will be expected to attend at least 9 hours of group treatment per week for 12 weeks.   Some of the many useful topics covered in IOP include:

  • Mindfulness & self-care/calming techniques
  • Managing Urges and Cravings
  • Safe coping skill development
  • Relapse Prevention Skills
  • Understanding the Brain Chemistry of Addiction
  • Understanding the Progression of Addiction
  • Post-Acute Withdrawal Syndrome
  • Co-Occurring Disorders

Outpatient Group Treatment

Outpatient Group Treatment is for those individuals who have either finished the Launch Pad Wellness Intensive Outpatient Program Treatment or for those who do not need as intensive a level of care as IOP provides. Outpatient Group Treatment is also required for individuals who participate in Vivitrol injections and/or receive ongoing psychiatric services and who are not enrolled in other services at Launch Pad Wellness. In this group, the skills for long term recovery are reinforced through “real world” practical application, role play activities, art therapy and meditation. This group treatment assists individuals in addressing the challenges to their recovery that come when they step-down to a less intensive form of treatment. This stage can also include continued individual therapy, family therapy and psychiatric services. Individuals are expected to create a plan for long term recovery during this stage of treatment.

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy is an ongoing part of the clinical services offered at Launch Pad Wellness. Our staff is trained in recognizing, diagnosing and treating co-occurring mental health issues. Issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, and personality issues can occur simultaneously with addiction The longer someone is without drugs and/or alcohol, the more likely it is that a co-occurring issue will surface which puts the individual at a higher risk of relapse.

Individual Therapy can help people cope with difficult life events, for example, physical illness, death of loved ones, and relationship problems or divorce. There are often issues of guilt and remorse that can occur regarding behaviors during an individual’s active addiction that can be addressed in individual therapy.

Treatment for addiction and mental health issues that occurs simultaneously means better outcomes for long term recovery.

Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management

Launch Pad Wellness offers a continuum of care that includes Psychiatric Services. Each individual who is enrolled in services at Launch Pad Wellness will see the psychiatrist for an evaluation as part of their treatment. If ongoing services, including medication management, are needed, these services will be provided. The medical provider is directly involved with the individuals treatment at Launch Pad Wellness ensuring continuity of care. Our psychiatrist has a specialty in treating addiction so he has a special understanding of the needs of individuals in early recovery. The psychiatrist is part of the Launch Pad Wellness treatment team and can provide treatment for co-occurring psychiatric issues that may have made recovery from addiction difficult in the past.

Vivitrol Injections

Vivitrol is a long acting, once monthly injection that is used as part of a treatment program for opioid and/or alcohol addiction to reduce cravings and to prevent relapse. This medication is prescribed and administered by medical staff at Launch Pad Wellness. This is a non-narcotic medicine containing Naltrxone which can reduce the feelings of needing to use opioids and/or alcohol. All individuals receiving Vivitrol injections will need to be enrolled in treatment at Launch Pad Wellness.  The determination for which level of care is appropriate will be made by the clinical staff during admission.  Vivitrol is used in conjunction with addiction treatment to help decrease the likelihood of a return to addictive behaviors thus giving the individual a better chance at long term recovery.
